The Grand at Trafalgar Square

The location is fantastic, the building / lobby is impressive, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. We particularly loved the availability of complementary water, tea and coffee, 24 hours per day.

Room was very spacious and quiet (which was surprising given the busy area). There was a washing machine and dryer that we were able to use which was very handy! It was also very handy having little touches like the filtered water and reusable bottles in the hallway. Was also really nice being able to go and get a tea or coffee from the lounge at any time.

Location is wonderful. Room is not big though I found it comfy. I didn't need to stay in the room during the day, was coming to sleep only, spent the whole day at business event. There is a lounge room in the hotel - this is great place where you can work and have coffe or tea (cost included in the rate). I called it "Cigar Room", but smoking is not allowed (which is good). I was given charge adapter at fromt desk for my European electrical devices. Returned on my check out. Very helpful. They charge 100 GBP deposit at check in. I received it back at my account the next day after check out.

The site is just a few steps from Trafalgar Square making it perfect spot for sightseeing oriented trips. The personel is very welcoming and helpful, I did not have any negative interactions with them. My package included the breakfasts and I recommend this option to everyone as they are amazing. I could choose between continental or full english and since it's London I took the latter option. Everything was fresh and scrammbled eggs were made from real eggs, not powder as it often happens. In general I am very happy that I went a little over my budget and chose this hotel.

The location is phenomenal being a stone throw away from Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and a 7-10 minute walk away from Leicester Square/Soho/Covent Garden. All amenities were at hand. Inside the hotel itself the staff were friendly and helpful, and overall service was great, Automatic check in and out were a doodle and the breakfast was great, if you book a room make sure to include the breakfast option. The room/ air-con /TV/ bt speaker radio /bathroom were all great and clean. And the purified water station and ice in the hallway were a godsend, long gone are the days of a stale water jar in the room. PS: the bed was great with a firm mattress.
